Where we meet
Friends Meeting House
We meet on the second Wednesday every month at Friends Meeting House, Mount Street, Manchester, M2 5NS (behind the Central Library). See events coded “FMH”.
We ask for a donation (£2 for members, £1 for students, £3 for others, except at the first meeting attended) to cover the cost of room hire and refreshments. The room (Room 1 or 2) is available for socialising from 7pm with tea and coffee provided. The formal part of the meeting starts at 7.30pm.  Meetings end around 9.15pm but many of us continue afterwards at The Waterhouse opposite the Town Hall in Princess St.
The programme for the 2012/13 session is here.
Exploring Humanism
We also meet at 6.45pm for 7pm on the fourth Tuesday of the month (except in July, August and December). These less formal ‘Exploring Humanism’ meetings are currently held at the Waldorf, 12 Gore Street, Manchester, M1 3AQ (upstairs room). We ask for a small donation (£2 – £1 for students) to cover the cost of room hire.
Local groups
Buxton
A local group was started up in Buxton at the end of June 2009 and effectively wound up in October 2010 although very occasional meetings may still be held. They will be announced on this website.
Stockport
The Stockport group now meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 7.15pm for 7.30pm in the upstairs room at The Armoury, 31 Shaw Heath, Stockport, Cheshire, SK3 8BD.
Social Events
We hold a number of social events during the year, and often participate in the events of other nearby Humanist groups.
