The inside story of Stockport’s role in the Peterloo massacre of 1819

An illustrated talk by the authors of PETERLOO: Witnesses to a Massacre, a ‘verbatim’ graphic novel drawn entirely from the words of those who were there. (www.peterloo.org)

Come and find out how the ‘Stockport fray’ conflict helped provoke the Manchester attack, the significance of the Cap of Liberty, the political role of the clergy, who Lloyd was, and why he was so hated, and get a glimpse into how the graphic novel was created.
