RICHARD SCORER is a lawyer specialising in child and vulnerable adult abuse, human rights and public inquiries law. Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Kent. He has particular expertise in acting for victims of church and clerical abuse. He acted for victims' families in the Manchester Arena bombing inquiry, and has a particular interest in issues around safeguarding and fundamentalist religious settings.

Vice President of the National Secular Society, and writes for many publications, including The Freethinker, New Humanist and The Critic.
